Best Deal - Lofts
On average, a 300 sq. ft. addition will take 2 to 3 months. The construction time will vary if addition requires concrete work and or opening up existing roof. If the objective is:
- Adding square footage
- Doing the addition extremely fast
- Saving money
We highly suggest adding a “loft” instead of a “bedroom/bathroom”. Here are a few reasons for this suggestion:
- City requirement for new “loft” (rather then a new “bedroom/bathroom”) are a lot less stringent. As a result the approval and permitting of all construction documents happen much faster.
- “Loft” additions are roughly 30% cheaper then “bedroom/bathroom” additions.
